FusionFlow™ White Paper

IntelSkyLab.png

Cloud-computing remains completely under the control of a small set of cloud providers - Amazon, Microsoft and Google. These cloud providers are themselves heavy adopters of open-source technologies yet cloud-computing remains predominantly proprietary and closed source.

In recent years, there has been an increased demand for running across cloud providers. By adopting a multi-cloud strategy, organizations can reduce costs, use differentiated managed services, increase geographic presence, take advantage of credits, avoid vendor lock-in, and meet strict compliance policies.

We believe there is a need for a new portability layer on top of existing managed services and cloud offerings. We need a control plane that exposes a universal declarative-style API for cloud computing and offers full lifecycle management, orchestration, scheduling, and policy enforcement. A control plane that can span cloud providers, regions and offerings.

Blurring the barriers between any kind of infrastructure, FusionFlow enables applications to be run on any cloud and bare metal environment, enabling applications to be shifted closer to the edge and the customer premise or remain in the cloud based on cost considerations, network congestion, time criticality, and confidentiality of applications.

    - How to unlock the full potential of hybrid environments in public and private clouds as well as at the edge
    - Intelligent workload scheduling to deliver application performance where it is needed the most.
    - Unifies the application run-time environment, allowing it to be deployed to any cloud, edge or on-premise solution without having to worry about compatibility.
